Skyline Chestnuts

Skyline Chestnuts

Opening Day for 2021 is October 30th.

THINGS ARE DIFFERENT THIS YEAR. For morning visits, please make reservations. Link is below. General admission begins at Noon. Whenever the parking lot is full, you can make a curbside purchase or park elsewhere and hike in. Admission past the farmstand is closed once all available chestnuts have been gathered.

Please visit us at our Facebook page here to find out if we closed early for the day and to see other news and photos, ask questions, find out about the weather at the orchard, etc.

Parking Reservations

We only have room for 80 cars, so we are trying out a parking reservation system to manage the morning arrivals. Make a reservation here. If reservations are full, you can just show up for General Admission which opens at Noon.

We are trying new things in 2021.

We are closed on Monday and Tuesday. Sunday afternoons we often close around 12:30pm because there is nothing left after the weekend crowd has gone through. For visits on Wednesday-Sunday, the farmstand opens at 9:30am. Reservations are required to park in the mornings. General admission opens at Noon. This is a drought year. Please check back to see what our hours and open days will be past Nov 13.

The Skyline Chestnuts orchard is atop the mountain above Palo Alto, CA. Find us on Skyline Blvd, 10 miles south of the crossroad of Skyline Blvd and Woodside Rd (Hwy 84). More directions are here: (directions & map)

Skyline Chestnuts is a Gather-Your-Own Orchard

We strongly recommend wearing sturdy, closed-toe shoes to protect you from the prickly burrs on the ground.

We have buckets and leather gloves for you to use while you're here.

We accept cash and credit. In 2020, chestnuts were $8.50/pound. In 2021, because of the reduced crop size and increased labor costs, chestnuts are $10.50/lb.
