The 2024 season ran from October 19 through November 17. We are now closed until next year. Check back in October 2025.

Parking Reservations

We only have room for about 80 cars, so we use a parking reservation system to manage the morning arrivals.

Reservations go live each week on Monday at 10am.

Make a reservation here. If reservations are full, you can try a different day or just show up for General Admission which opens at Noon.

Reserving a parking spot to arrive before Noon is $5. It's free after 12pm.

Hiking In

General admission begins at Noon, including for those who wish to park elsewhere and hike-in. Reservations are required for earlier arrivals so that the orchard is not overwhelmed with visitors.

Price per Pound

Prices are unchanged from last year. Chestnuts are $10.50/lb. We offer a discount of 50 cents/pound for cash purchases to encourage customers to be prepared to pay with cash in case the internet (payment) connection is temporarily down.

Days & Hours

HARVEST SEASON: The season begins in mid-October. Sometimes it's late October. The season lasts about five weeks.

OPENING DAY: We choose the Opening Date based on what we are seeing out in the orchard. When the first few chestnuts start dropping we will be about a week away from opening. As soon as we know the date, we will post it here and on Facebook.

DAYS: We are open Wednesday through Sunday. We are closed on Monday and Tuesday.

HOURS: The farmstand opens at 9:30am Wednesday through Sunday. No admission past the farmstand after 3:30pm.

PLEASE NOTE: Sunday afternoons we often close around 12:30pm because there is nothing left after the weekend crowd has gone through.

Do We Accept Credit?

Yes, but... We accept cash and credit. We offer a 50 cent/lbs. discount for cash purchases to encourage the public to bring cash in case the electricity or internet is down.

What to Wear / What to Bring

Skyline Chestnuts is a gather-your-own orchard. We strongly recommend wearing sturdy, closed-toe shoes to protect you from the prickly burrs on the ground.

We have buckets and leather gloves for you to use while you're here.
